Where the data comes from

Everything is built from filings made to India’s stock exchanges and official company disclosures. The valuations we show are the output of standard, well-known models (and a blend of them) — estimates of what a business might be worth, not price targets or predictions. Numbers can carry errors or be out of date, so always confirm anything that matters against the original filing.

How it’s built

The financial figures on a company page come from its XBRL filings, parsed structurally rather than typed in by hand. The simple-English “what this company does” line is different: it’s a sentence quoted from the company’s own annual report, kept only when it survives a set of checks built to catch the two ways that extraction can go wrong — reading two columns of a page as if they were one running sentence, or lifting a line of marketing copy that never actually says what the company makes. When nothing passes, the page says so with a sector line instead of guessing.
