What you can do on EquityTale
One page, in simple words: every part of the site, what it does, and an example for each.
Company pages
Search any company with full financial data and see the whole business on one page: what it earns, whether that’s getting better, how much debt it carries, who owns it, and whether the price already includes the good news. Further down the same page: results quarter by quarter, ten years of history, who’s buying or selling shares, who controls the company, and the annual report itself.
The Health Score
A score from 0 to 100 that looks at six things about a company — profit, balance sheet, cash, growth, valuation and governance — and compares them with similar companies. If there isn’t enough data to check most of these, the company gets no score at all, instead of a misleading one.
Story ⇄ Quant
Every company page can be read two ways. Story explains it in plain sentences — “profit grew 18% and margins held steady.” Quant shows the same thing as raw numbers and ratios. It’s the same numbers either way; the toggle only changes how they’re shown, and you can switch any time.
IPO tracker
Every open, recent and upcoming issue, covered from its draft offer document onward — before it even opens for subscription, not just after it lists.
Screener
Filter thousands of companies at once on profit, growth, debt, ownership or valuation, instead of opening one page at a time to check.
Pre-market reports
A simple-English brief on what moved overnight — Indian markets, global markets and commodities — published before the day’s trading starts, explaining why something moved and not just by how much.
Calculators
Twelve free calculators. Each one shows its result three ways — the raw number, after tax, and after inflation — because what a calculator shows you is rarely what actually lands in your account.
- SIP calculator— What a fixed monthly investment could grow to.
- Step-up SIP calculator— The same, but your monthly amount rises every year instead of staying flat.
- Lumpsum calculator— What a one-time investment could grow to.
- SWP calculator— How long a lump sum lasts if you withdraw a fixed amount from it every month.
- FD calculator— What a fixed deposit is actually worth after tax.
- RD calculator— The same, for a recurring monthly deposit.
- PPF calculator— Your PPF balance at maturity, at the current rate.
- Sukanya Samriddhi calculator— Maturity value of a Sukanya Samriddhi account, at the current rate.
- NSC calculator— What an NSC certificate is worth at maturity, after tax.
- Home loan EMI calculator— Your monthly EMI, and how much of it is interest versus principal over the loan's life.
- Flat vs reducing rate calculator— The real interest cost difference between the two ways lenders quote a rate.
- Prepayment vs invest calculator— Whether prepaying a loan early beats investing that money instead, at your numbers.
Glossary
Simple-English definitions for the terms used across the site — P/E, ROE, promoter pledge, and everything else — explained without leaning on other jargon to do it.
Methodology
The full story of how every number, ratio and score on the site is worked out — for anyone who wants to check the working instead of just trusting it, including where we know it can go wrong.
